It was announced last week that the UK is in recession, and although we recommend staying optimistic, the combination of this and the energy crisis means that many of us are going to feel the pinch.
As we approach the new year, a time when budgets are released and plans made for the year ahead, it’s vital businesses think about recession-proofing and making adjustments that mean their money works harder.
We’ve already been working with several clients to ensure their office is prepared and they have processes in place to
alleviate the impact of the cost of living crisis. We’ve compiled a list of recommendations and considerations based on what they have been asking for:
– Ensuring you have Maintenance Services in place to keep on top of electrical and mechanical assets means you can maximise the safety, value and efficiency. This can include air-conditioning units, water stations and even PAT Testing: being one step ahead means you can avoid any surprise costs!
– Carry out an Audit of benefits and services you provide for staff. If your office provides catering and snack stations; are the staff numbers in line with the service being provided? Does this need to be adjusted now hybrid working is established? This could also apply to laundry or cleaning schedules. Establishing any wastage areas could mean budget could go to better use.
– Look for a Facilities Management company who can design a package or schedule around your needs. There is much choice in the market, but many companies offer only standardised packages. You may be able to be more selective if you pool multiple services into one company: and streamlining can save time and money.
It’s a daunting time for many, but Radiance are here to take the stress out of your facilities management, and let you enjoy the festive season! If you think we can be of help and you’d like to know more please email info@radianceservices.com.
